What kind of gloves do i need to spar?

Me and my buddy have been sparring bareknuckle for about 2 weeks now, and taking some serious punishment. I have been debating between boxing gloves, and the smaller mma sparring gloves, but i’ve heard you can get cut really badly with them. So what kind of gloves do i need to use, keeping in mind we’re only going about 75%.

  1. Well, if you want to step up your game, then I would recommend the Freddy Krueger-glove. But seriously, boxing gloves should do fine.

  3. i sparred with MMA gloves and had no problems but whatever your happy/comfortable with.

  5. if ur working strictly striking i suggest 14-16 ounce boxing gloves. no sense in bouncing ur brain off the side of ur skull just practicing.

  6. Whichever gloves you feel the most comfortable in should be the kind you get. The website below has a pretty good selection. I have been wearing sparring gloves for 10 years and haven’t been cut once.
